Spring has Sprung with new styles and techniques in Amy's Creative Corner

Spring has sprung!

I've been in a fun flow the last few months with some original pieces.  Lately, I've been exploring new techniques and styles...and really trying to see what feels best for me.

Finding my own voice and style in my original paintings has honestly been something that I've struggled with.  Sometimes, I have great ideas, but I am not sure how to really execute it on canvas.

I have been watching some cool educational videos and reading about tips and tricks for improving or developing my skills.  Here are some of the latest pieces I've work on...feel free to visit my website to see all of the latest paintings, prints, handmade gifts and options for pet portraits at www.amyyeagerjorge.com.

And as always, thank you for visiting! :)

Happy New Year, you all!

Spirit Animal Painting Workshops!!! So excited to share this with you all.  I have done 5 different classes so far and have more lined up for 2023.  Every second Friday evening of the month, I will teach a 2 hour painting class at Peace in the Forest.  This is where I also offer massage therapy, in case you're needing some bodywork, too. :) Read more about workshops here.

The first painting was a Cardinal, of course, to get my feet wet.  Then, we did a Cheetah, and that was very cool.  It is so neat to see how everyone paints so well, and adds their own flavor.

At Peace in the Forest in Wake Forest, NC.

I also recently did a in-home class for a group of Homeschool Moms, and they had a really good time! The host had a great space for a couple of long tables, and they all painted wonderful hummingbirds.

 And, Jak Jak said hi!

Upcoming Workshops:

OWLS, at Peace in the Forest February 10 from 6-8pm.

Monarch Butterfly, at Peace in the Forest March 10 from 6-8pm.

Let me know if you have any questions about in-home classes or at Peace in the Forest.  These workshops make for wonderful birthday parties, team building, and more.

Holy smokes! It's been...well...a while since my last post.  Here's a little update:

I've been busy with my artwork! Pet portraits and original pieces.  I've added more offerings including Spirit Animal Totems, hand-painted accessories like clutches and wallets, logo design and painting classes!

When I'm not painting or working on my art business, I am growing and maintaining my massage therapy business.  As a licensed massage therapist, I've been quite busy with helping those in the area with bringing relaxation to their bodies, minds, spirits!  I love doing massage therapy.  If you have any interest in finding out more about my massage business, visit www.bodyworkbyamy.com.

I am also in the process (about half way done!) of completing my Yoga Teacher Training.  I've really enjoyed learning about the philosophy, anatomy, practices, etc. of the yoga world...lots of reading, studying and practicing, but I enjoy this process.

My dog, Lucy, is still a great studio assistant, quality control manager, and treats specialist. She is so supportive and sweet!

Here's a look at the art room after a wild day of creations...

Spirit Animal Rock Totems.  These little babies are so fun.  I created a printed card with an explanation of their symbolism, nestled inside a little bag.  These are available on my online store, or locally at Peace in the Forest in Wake Forest, NC.

"Foxy Vibes" painting sold a couple weeks ago, but I do have prints of this painting as well.

Hand-painted hummingbird clutch is also available on the online store, or feel free to email me if interested.

Lucy girl being adorable next to a painting I did for the first ever Spirit Animal Painting Class.  I did this 2 hour class at Peace in the Forest and it was a big hit!  Last month we did a dolphin, and in September we will do a Cheetah...There are a couple spots left if you're interested to find out more.

A few of the logo designs I have completed. I love incorporating my graphic design background for my artistic endeavors!  It's so much fun for me to play on the computer and take a little break from paint brushes.

I adopt a shelter puppy, Lucy!

 Amy Adopts!

I had a dream in October 2020 that I was sitting down and had a medium sized cream colored dog resting around my lap.  It was so pleasant and sweet.  I knew in my dream that I had found my new little friend.

Fast forward a couple months, I see "Honeybelle" on the Robeson County Humane Society website and thought, let's fill out an application.  I had been trying for some months to adopt from other rescues, but had amazing difficulties for one reason or another!  I get a call the next morning that I was approved to meet Honeybelle!! So I drove down 2 hours the very next day, first of December 2020, and met her dirty little self at the shelter.  She was smelly, covered in urine and was dirty, but goodness was she adorable.

I signed all the paperwork, brought her into my car, and we went on our way 2 hours back to Wake Forest.  The moment she realized I wasn't going to abandon her was on a gas station stop where I took her to peepee and I brought her back into the car...it was almost like I could hear her saying "thanks for not leaving me here!" It made me cry with joy and helped her know...I will always take care of her, and will never leave her behind!

So I gave her bath as soon as we got back, and a radiant, fluffy white cream colored coat was remaining and so beautiful!  She started to ease into the home, and felt more and more at ease as time went on.  She is absolutely so sweet.  Amazing.  Her name is Lucy!  And here she is...

This was her profile picture on the shelter's website.  Awwwww.

Our first picture together at the shelter!

Our first no-mask selfie on our way home.

Thanks for following my new adventure with this little babe.  She's a Million Dollar Lottery Puppy!  Shelters have amazing pets.  I recommend visiting one to see who may be in need of being rescued and could bring you a lot of joy and love.

This was extra emotional because I said goodbye to Mya over a year and a half ago, so it felt sort of weird having this new puppy (6 months old).  But, I know Mya would be happy for me.  I do feel like she helped the Universe to show me her...after months of being rejected by rescues.  A little patience paid off and I feel very blessed.  Thank you, Mya.

Read more about this great shelter in Lumberton, NC.  There are so many amazing pets there, and the volunteers and so helpful and kind.  They truly care about the welfare of animals, and I am so thankful for meeting them and meeting "Honebelle" aka LUCY.

Introducing: Mya's Rainbow Friends

“What we have once enjoyed
we can never lose;
All that we love deeply
 becomes a part of us.
”
– Helen Keller

Mya passed away on May 31, 2019. It's been a year and what a year it has been! I've gone through a lot personally, and processing Mya's death was certainly a large task for me as well.

A few weeks ago, she came to me in my dream. She was an angel with big beautiful wings. She gave me the message of Mya's Rainbow Friends.

I mindfully and whole-heartedly feel the pet's essence, and empathically understand the joy that they brought you, and do my best to portray that joy with each brush stroke I give to the canvas.

While painting, I will ask Mya to please help your pet find its way home over the rainbow. With the portrait displayed on your wall or shelf, your friend will feel welcomed to visit you in your dreams or waking life, and will be remembered as a part of your heart furever.

Mya's Rainbow Friends paintings are hand painted with acrylic paint on stretched canvas that can be hung as is, or framed if desired.

I work off of the photo you email me, just like my regular pet portraits I offer. Same pricing and process, just a little different...
The difference is that I give extra empathy and spiritual energy to the painting.
I ask Mya to help your friend, as their guide, make a safe and joyous journey over the rainbow bridge.  If you have a special Archangel, entity or guide that you would like me to ask for guidance for your friend while I paint, please let me know.

If you would like to share with me the stories and great times, or special personality traits of your furry friend, I would be happy to FaceTime with you as well.

Please let me know how I can assist your grieving process, as I understand the pain you are going through can be very difficult.

I believe it helps to honor your grieving process, and also honor your pet.

Feel free to reach out with any questions about my process or placing an order for yourself or as a gift for someone else who just lost their pal.

You can email me directly to get an order started, or visit my Online Shop to make an order or view more canvas size options and pricing.
